American Citizens Unite

John Boehner is the worst Speaker of the US House ever.
American citizens . . .  lend me your ears!

If  U.S. House Speaker John Boehner (REPUBLICAN-Ohio) can file a lawsuit against President Barack Obama for doing what he is called to do (HIS JOB) then I say it's time for WE THE PEOPLE to sue Boehner and the rest of the Republican slugs in the U.S. Congress for NOT doing their jobs.
After all, they took a "blood oath" to derail the Obama presidency the night he was sworn into office on January 20, 2009 at The Caucus Restaurant in a private room.
Yes, that is correct!
I believe it was 15 members of the GOP along with two non serving members of Congress who met up and swore they would disrupt and not allow Obama and his administration to get anything done. They have pretty much succeeded in gumming up the works and nearly destroying our country while making millions of people suffer economic hardship and continue to do so to this day!
And now Boehner the boozer is pursuing a "lawsuit" against Obama for doing the job he was sworn into office to do as President of the United States.
I say we Americans should file suit against Boehner and the "do nothing" Republican led U.S. House of Representatives. They have been absolutely useless in the four years since taking the majority control in the House in the 2010 mid-term elections.
Boehner is a pathetic loser who slurs his words and often makes an ass of himself during press conferences with his inane babbling. He is spineless when it comes to telling the so called "tea party" members of the GOP where to go with their insanity.
Therefore, it's time for action . . .
Let's sue these sonsabitches and show them who is really in charge!

What's In A Name?

Time for this sports fan to weigh in on the "big controversy" surrounding the team nicknames going on in the world of sports.
The Washington Redskins are under fire for their team nickname and team mascot logo on the side of their football helmet.
So I ask ... what's in a name?
I believe it's somebody or a collective group just trying to make a buck off a new nickname and logo which means more copyrights and merchandising which these days means BIG MONEY.
The Redskins are one of the oldest franchises in pro football so if they are forced to change their nick name then I say so should the New York YANKEES and the Cleveland INDIANS of Major League Baseball.
Yankees is a slur for people from the northern United States that people from the south used during Civil War days and shortly there after. Meanwhile, the Indians mascot Chief Wahoo (pictured right) speaks for itself!
In fact, here's an example from a high school in Illinois where years ago the Pekin high school team changed their team nickname from the Pekin Chinks to Pekin Dragons. Think about it ... the team name was changed from a slur used for Chinese people to a symbol of the country of China ... a dragon!
That was politically correct and the essence of common sense. Of course, chinks is a word used to describe the gaps of space in between log cabins which were filled in with mud or other substances.
That is just one example and there are surely many more regarding said subject. In fact, rumors are already circulating the NHL powerhouse team known as the Chicago Blackhawks may be the next team to go under the microscope in this area.
We shall see.
So in the meantime, all you people jumping on the band wagon calling for the Redskins in Washington, D.C. to change their team nickname, say the same thing to the New York YANKEES and Cleveland INDIANS as well.

Once Again, NO Triple Crown Winner in Horse Racing

California Chrome failed in his bid to become the first Triple Crown winning horse in 36 years by finishing fifth in the Belmont Stakes today.  So once again, NO Triple Crown winner in horse racing and the late, great Secretariat still holds the record for fastest time ever in the 1 1/2 mile Belmont Stakes.
Watch the amazing horse in the video below from the 1973 Belmont Stakes, where he actaully won the Triple Crown by winning by an astounding 31 lengths!

2014 NBA Finals Preview

Here we go again!

After last year's classic NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs, they will meet once again in Game One on Thursday night in San Antonio.
The Heat is the  two-time defending NBA champions as a result of the Spurs blowing a five point lead late in Game Six in Miami last June. The Spurs were on the cusp of their fifth NBA title until the ageless wonder known as Ray Allen drained a corner three-point shot to force overtime, where the Heat took over to win that game and then won Game Seven for the repeat title.
That was last year and this time around, it's the Spurs who have the NBA's best record and home court advantage for the Finals.
Led by the 'Big Three' of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, the Spurs advanced through the rugged Western Conference, beating back Dallas, Portland and Oklahoma City to set the stage for what should be a great championship series.
Meanwhile, the Miami Heat is led by their own 'Big Three' of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. The Heat swept Charlotte in the first round, then beat Brooklyn and finally Indiana in the Eastern Conference finals to reach their fourth consecutive NBA Finals.
Both teams have deep benches, with the Spurs going as deep as ten players while the Heat can go as far as eight (possibly) nine deep.
San Antonio Head Coach Gregg Popovich rates the edge over Miami Head Coach Erik Spoelstra and the Spurs run a great system based on team basketball, whereas the Heat love to run and gun and play one-on-one matchup basketball.
Figure this series to go six, possibly seven games once again with the San Antonio Spurs hoisting the Larry O' Brien trophy this time.
