The United States Gets Screwed Once Again

Thanks a lot "tea party" people.
Because of all the idiocy that is the "tea party" (which is really just another corporate offshoot of the Republican party) the United States got screwed over big time to avoid default over the debt ceiling.
For the first time in history, the debt ceiling was linked to the budget of our country and the tea party people claim that spending cuts had to be made in order to raise the debt ceiling.
BULLSHIT!
The tea party representatives, led by Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) and Michele Bachmann (R-Minnesota) are nothing but a bunch of crazy loons who snookered people into believing their crap about the political process of this country.
Of course, it doesn't hurt your chances of getting elected when low information voters turn out and President Obama continues to alienate his base (or what's left of them) to keep them from voting.
The United States Supreme Court enhanced things for the right when they said that corporations are persons and can throw unlimited amounts of money into the electoral process.
MORE BULLSHIT!
These nine politicians in robes (especially the five right wingers known as John Roberts, Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Anthony Kennedy) feel that corporations are real people and can do whatever they want... the people of the United States be damned!
Point is the deck is totally stacked against the people of the United States of  America.
Our Congress works for the billionaires (see Koch brothers, etc.) and the corporations and that is it.
The majority in the house are the Republicans and they cater to the demands of some 85 "tea party" representatives.
As a U.S. citizen, I demand that Americans get off their lazy asses and get out and get active next year in 2012 and throw the bums out, especially the tea party representatives.

Hopefully, people will remember that Republican U.S. House Speaker John Boehner from Ohio campaigned last fall on "job creation". Well Speaker John Boehner, I have to ask ... "WHERE ARE THE JOBS?"
This job killing legislation that was just passed by the U.S. Congress today and immediately signed into law by President Obama is a farce!
The debt ceiling is BULLSHIT and we are one of just two nations that adhere to such nonsense.
As much as I couldn't stand Bush/Cheney when they were in charge in D.C. they would have easily bypassed Congress and invoked the 14th Amendment to get the debt ceiling raised.
After all, it was Cheney who said that "deficits don't matter."
If Obama would ever grow a pair of balls and tell the republicans (especially the tea party GOP) to stick it where the sun don't shine, then maybe his base would trickle back to supporting him.
As for now and in the future as well, the American people are screwed.
