At long last, a cop is going away for a long time for murdering someone.
That cop is Derek Chauvin from Minneapolis, Minnesota and there is at long last justice for the murder of George Floyd last May.
There have been so many others who were killed and almost without exception, the accused cops were either acquitted or faced lesser charges in the cases. One notable exception was Jason Van Dyke in Chicago, who is behind bars for murdering Laquan McDonald in 2014 in Chicago, so this was a long time coming after the way Chauvin so smugly looked at the cameras as he knelt on Floyd's neck and literally squeezed the life from that man.
Justice prevails . . . at last.
