OFFENSE - Bryce Young is entering his fourth season at quarterback and he finished with 3,011 passing yards along with 23 touchdowns and eleven interceptions in 2025. Young also rushed for 216 yards (4.0 YPC) and scored two times. Kenny Pickett and Haynes King will likely be the backups this season. The running game will be led by Chuba Hubbard (511 yards, 3.8 YPC, one TD) after Rico Dowdle left in free agency. A.J. Dillon and Trevor Etienne are also on hand. The wide receivers are Tetairoa McMillan (70 receptions, 1,014 yards, seven TD), Jalen Coker (33, 394, three TD), Xavier Legette (35, 363, three TD) and rookie Chris Brazzell II (Tennessee). The tight ends are Tommy Tremble and Mitchell Evans. 

DEFENSE - Bobby Brown III, Derrick Brown and Turk Wharton man the front line and the linebackers are Devin Lloyd (74 tackles, five interceptions with Jacksonville), Jaelan Phillips (five sacks totaled with Philadelphia and Miami in 2025), Nic Scourton and Trevin Wallace. In the secondary is safety Nick Scott (109 tackles) along with Tre'von Moehrig, Jr. (103 tackles) and cornerbacks Jaycee Horn, who had five interceptions and also Mike Jackson, who had four picks last season. Robert Rochell, rookie Zakee Wheatley (Penn State) and Lathan Ransom add depth. The Panthers totaled 15 interceptions and 30 sacks a year ago and the defense finished in the middle of the pack while allowing 22.4 points per game. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - The Panthers surprised many by making the playoffs last season, although they won the NFC South division with a losing record. But they battled the L.A. Rams tough in the wild card round, losing 34-31 on their home field. Head Coach Dave Canales would like to see the team improve on that performance in what could be the most competitive division in the NFL. 

If Young continues to make strides at quarterback and the running game can show improvement, the offense should be better than last year, where the Panthers ranked 27th overall and averaged just 18.3 points per game. Turnovers must be managed as well where the team was minus-2 in that area. The defense was decent enough to keep the team in games and only twice all season allowed over 30 points in a game. Playing in the NFC South sees Atlanta, New Orleans and Tampa Bay in the mix and three teams all finished 8-9 while the New Orleans Saints were just two games behind. There wasn't a lot of player turnover on the roster, so the Panthers should be able to get things going early on this year. They will not be sneaking up on opponents this time, so they better be ready to pick up where they left off last season because it will likely take more than eight wins to make the playoffs.

OFFENSE - Quarterback Joe Burrow enters his seventh NFL season and is coming back from injuries last season that limited him to just eight games, as he had 1,809 passing yards with 17 touchdowns and five interceptions. Ageless Joe Flacco is the backup and in his 18th season, he passed for 2,479 yards with 15 touchdowns and ten interceptions. Chase Brown is the primary running back, going for 1,019 yards last year (4.4 YPC) and he scored six touchdowns in addition to getting 69 receptions for 437 yards and five touchdowns. Samaje Perine (382, 4.5 YPC, three TD) is the other half of the running attack. The wide receivers are two of the best in the NFL as Ja'Marr Chase (125 receptions, 1,412 yards, eight TD) and Tee Higgins (59, 846, eleven TD) give the Bengals a solid tandem in the passing game. Andrei Iosivis and tight end Mike Gesicki (28, 307, two TD) are the other main targets in the passing game. 

DEFENSE - The Bengals revamped up front and have Dexter Lawrence (acquired from New York Giants) at nose tackle along with Jonathan Allen (free agent signee from Minnesota Vikings), Myles Murphy (5 1/2 QB sacks), Boye Mafe and rookie edge rusher Cashius Howell (Texas A&M). Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight, Jr. (106 tackles, two INT) lead the linebacking corps and the defensive backfield has safeties Jordan Battle (112 tackles, four interceptions), Kyle Dugger and Bryan Cook. The cornerbacks include Dax Hill, DJ Turner II (two picks) and nickel back Jalen Davis. Cincinnati's defense had 35 sacks a year ago and picked off 13 passes, but allowed just under 29 points per game, which was 30th in the league. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - Defense, defense, defense is the name of the game as the Bengals prepare for the upcoming season. In 2025, they had one of the worst units in the NFL, allowing close to 400 yards per game while ranking last against the run, giving up 147 yards per game. Opponents torched the Bengals for too many big plays as they allowed 30-plus points seven times last year. Head Coach Zac Taylor is yet again on that proverbial "hot seat" entering the new season, but it's hard to blame him for Joe Burrow being injured so often. As long as Burrow is upright and able to go on game day, this team has a chance to win. 

The offense is a machine with Burrow under center, especially with a great duo (Chase and Higgins) at wide receiver. Chase Brown does a good job running the football and the offensive line is adequate in pass protection, giving up 36 sacks last season. The defense will tell the story as well as Burrow remaining injury free in 2026 in regards to any success this team will have. The Bengals brought in no less than six new faces along with top draft pick Cashius Howell, who comes in highly regarded from Texas A&M to improve their porous defense. With better pressure on enemy quarterbacks and a run stuffer like Lawrence up front, the hope is the defense keeps opponents scoring down. If the defense can step up and Burrow and his gang do their thing, this team will compete for the AFC North crown and who knows what else can happen when the playoffs come around. 

The Bengals can score points, so it's just a matter of being able to outscore the other team and that is where the defense, with a new look, hopes things will be better this season. Bengals fans (and Zac Taylor) are counting on it.

OFFENSE - Veteran Jacoby Brissett is the quarterback and he threw for 23 touchdowns with eight interceptions last season as well as 3,366 passing yards. Carson Beck (rookie from Miami, FL) and Gardner Minshew II will be the backups. Jeremiyah Love (Notre Dame) is the top draft pick for the Cardinals and he will carry the load in the running game. James Conner, who had back-to-back 1,000 yard rushing seasons prior to 2025, is looking to bounce back after suffering a foot injury that required surgery and ended his season after three games. Tyler Allgeier (514 yards, 3.6 YPC, eight TD with Atlanta) and Trey Benson will be available as well. The wide receivers include Marvin Harrison, Jr. (41 receptions, 608 yards, four TD), Michael Wilson (78, 1,006, seven TD) and Kendrick Bourne, who comes over from San Francisco where had 37 catches for 551 yards last year. The tight ends are Trey McBride, who had 126 receptions for 1,239 yards and eleven touchdowns and Elijah Higgins, who had 30 receptions for 301 yards.

DEFENSE - Linebacker Josh Sweat is the leader on defense and he had twelve quarterback sacks last season. Along with Sweat are linebackers Cody Simon, Mack Wilson, Sr., Barron Browning (two sacks) and Zaven Collins. The defensive front includes nose tackle Roy Lopez and tackles Walter Nolen III and Darius Robinson. In the secondary is safety Budda Baker, who led the Cardinals with 120 tackles last season. Along with him is Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (two interceptions) and Andrew Wingard (84 tackles with Jacksonville) and the cornerbacks are Will Johnson and Denzel Burke, who had three picks last season. The Cardinals totaled ten interceptions and had 30 sacks while giving up 28.7 points per game on defense and were gouged for 40-plus points by opponents four times.

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - The Cardinals have a new head coach this year as Mike LaFleur takes over and will look to get the team back in the right direction after a terrible 3-14 finish last year. Rookie running back Jeremiyah Love is highly touted and the team will give him ample opportunity to get a weak rushing attack (just 93 yards per game in 2025) going again. Having a healthy James Conner will help for sure as he has put up numbers for the Red Birds in the past. Jacoby Brissett played well a year ago and if his wideouts can contribute consistently it would do wonders for the offense. Tight end Trey McBride is among the best in the NFL and a great red zone target. The line has to be better in pass protection as they gave up 59 sacks and were pushed around with the team ranking next to last in rushing yardage. 

Along with the offense, the defense will have to show improvement as well after finishing near the bottom of the league in all major categories. Playing in the NFC West, perhaps the best division in the NFL, puts the Cardinals in an even tougher spot as they face a grueling schedule this season. Six of their first ten games are against teams that made the playoffs a year ago.  An improvement would be doubling the amount of wins this year, but (on paper) that doesn't look likely unless there is a major turnaround on both sides of the football. The Cardinals are looking to build a better foundation for the future and if Love can produce in his rookie season, it will go a long way to getting better balance on offense and showing improvement for this team. If they can get that and the defense shows better results, this team should be better than what happened in the 2025 season. The time is now to make it happen.

OFFENSE - Quarterback Lamar Jackson is ready for his ninth NFL season and he had 2,549 passing yards in 13 games last season along with 21 touchdowns and seven interceptions while also rushing for 349 yards (5.2 YPC) and a pair of touchdowns. Tyler Huntley (426 passing yards, two TD) will look to be the main backup again. The top running back is Derrick Henry (1,595 yards, 5.2 YPC, 16 TD) and Justice Hill will look to get back at it after suffering a neck injury a year ago. The wide receivers include Zay Flowers, who led the team with 86 receptions for 1,211 yards and five touchdowns. Along with Flowers are Rashod Bateman, Dayton Wade, Cortez Braham, Jr. (rookie - Memphis) and Devontez Walker. The tight ends are Mark Andrews (48, 422, five TD) and Durham Smythe. 

DEFENSE - Nnamdi Madubuike, John Jenkins and 19-year veteran Calais Campbell (6 1/2 sacks with Arizona) will look to man the front line while Trey Hendrickson (four sacks with Cincinnati last season) is the edge rusher/linebacker along with Roquan Smith (130 tackles) and Tavius Robinson, who had 4 1/2 sacks. Nose Tackle Travis Jones (five QB sacks) is on the physically unable to perform list as training camp began along with Teddye Buchanan, who made 85 tackles last year. The defensive backs are Kyle Hamilton (105 tackles) and Malaki Starks (two interceptions) at the safety spots while the cornerbacks are Marlon Humphrey (four INT), Chidobe Awuzie and Nate Wiggins, who had three picks a year ago. The Ravens totaled eleven interceptions and 30 sacks while the defense was 24th overall in the NFL last season. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - After making the playoffs for three straight seasons, the Ravens fell off and missed out on the 2025 post-season and the team let long time Head Coach John Harbaugh go and brought in Jesse Minter, who is widely regarded as defensive guru, to take over as the new head coach this year. 

The Ravens defense slipped badly last season, dropping to 24th overall while finishing 30th against the pass with only 30 quarterback sacks. They were solid against the run, rating in the top ten but they gave up too many big plays and that would eventually cost them a chance to get back to the playoffs. With some new faces on board this year, the team hopes to stay injury free as much as possible and see better results in that area. The offense was up and down as well, but running back Derrick Henry did his part in leading the running attack, which was second in the league. Quarterback Lamar Jackson saw his numbers drop and will look to get the passing game going once again and the main target is wide receiver Zay Flowers, who signed a huge contract extension in the off-season. Some younger wideouts and tight end Mark Andrews are also in the fold. 

The hope is for the offense to have more balance and as long as Henry stays on the field doing his thing and Jackson and company can do their part with the passing game, this team should be right there at seasons end. The AFC North has the reigning division champion Pittsburgh Steelers as well as the Cincinnati Bengals, who are looking to improve to their porous defense and also the Cleveland Browns, who always play solid defense. The Ravens can win this division if things click for them, but they are counting on Jackson getting back to form as well as the defense. The final four weeks of the season should determine how the Ravens fare as they are all division games, including two against the Steelers. A playoff appearance could likely happen and how much success they have in January will depend on the defense showing up and Jackson getting back to his old form on the field.

OFFENSE - Quarterback Jalen Hurts is entering his seventh NFL season and he passed for 3,224 yards with 25 touchdowns and six interceptions last year. Hurts also rushed for 421 yards (4.0 YPC) and scored eight touchdowns. Veteran journeyman QB Andy Dalton is in training camp this year and will look to be the primary backup. After a record setting year for running back Saquon Barkley in 2024, the top runner in Philly saw his production drop off in 2025 with 1,140 rushing yards (4.1 YPC) and seven touchdowns. Tank Bigsby (356 yards, 5.7 YPC, two TD) will get some carries as well. The wide receivers are led by DeVonta Smith, who had 77 receptions for 1,008 yards and four touchdowns. Along with Smith, Marquise Brown comes over from Kansas City, where he had 49 receptions for 587 yards and five touchdowns. Dontayvian Wicks, Elijah Moore and rookie Makai Lemon (USC) will look to contribute. Tight End Dallas Goedert (60, 591, 11 TD) is back for his ninth season and was a big time red zone target for the Eagles last season. Rookie tight end Eli Stowers (Vanderbilt) will get his chances in the game plan this year. 

DEFENSE - Defensive tackle Jalen Carter anchors the front line and is looking to bounce back after injuries limited him to ten games a year ago. Along with Carter on the line are Jordan Davis (4 1/2 QB sacks), Jonathan Greenard and Nolan Smith, Jr. as well as Moro Ojomo (six sacks) and Jalyx Hunt, who had 6 1/2 sacks and three interceptions last year. Zack Baun (team high 123 tackles and two interceptions) and Jihaad Campbell lead the linebackers while the secondary features Cooper DeJean (two INT), Riq Woolen and Quinyon Mitchell at the corners with Marcus Epps and Andrew Makuba (two picks) at the safety spots. The Eagles had a plus-6 in turnovers in 2025 as they picked off twelve passes and registered 42 sacks while finishing in the top five in scoring defense. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - After winning the Super Bowl two years ago, the Eagles fell in the wild card round of the NFC playoffs and will look to rebound this season. Head Coach Nick Sirianni has been under fire in recent years, even with two Super Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl title two years ago. The last time the Eagles fell in the first round of the playoffs following a Super Bowl appearance (2022-23), they came back to win the Super Bowl. 

Quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley will be under the microscope this season after seeing their numbers drop off. In addition, wide receiver DeVonta Smith will have to step up as he is the main man now that A.J. Brown has been traded away to New England. The Eagles were 19th in scoring last year (22.3 PPG) after ranking seventh in 2024, when they averaged 27 points per game. Moving the chains was a problem last year as the Eagles slipped to 37 percent on third down conversions. That must improve if they want to compete in the always tough NFC playoff race. The defense did a decent job overall a year ago, but did struggle against the run compared to years past. Having the front line stay healthy will help make a difference this season. 

No doubt the talent is there for the Eagles to fly high again in 2026, but they have to maintain consistency and get back to where they were on offense to achieve the goal of getting back to the Super Bowl. If Hurts and the passing game can put up better numbers and Barkley regains his form and stays on the field, the offense should see much improvement, which would take pressure off the defense. The NFC East is tough with Dallas looking to improve and the Washington Commanders also looking to bounce back as well as the up and coming New York Giants. The Eagles can win a third straight division title as long as they play their game and maintain focus on the field. How far they can go from there depends on staying healthy and playing consistently.

OFFENSE - Veteran quarterback Geno Smith is back for a second stint with the Jets after passing for 3,025 yards with 19 touchdowns and 17 interceptions with the Las Vegas Raiders last year. Backups for Smith in training camp include Bailey Zappe, Brady Cook and rookie Cade Klubnik (Clemson). Breece Hall (1,065 yards, 4.4 YPC, four TD) leads the running game and Isaiah Davis (236, 5.5 YPC, one TD) is also available. Wide receiver Garrett Wilson was limited to seven games with a knee injury last year, but had 36 receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns. Adonai Mitchell caught 33 passes for 453 yards and two scores and rookie Omar Cooper, Jr. (Indiana). The tight end is Mason Taylor, who had 44 receptions for 369 yards and one touchdown. 

DEFENSE - Will McDonald IV (eight QB sacks), T'Vondre Sweat, rookie David Bailey (Texas Tech) and David Onyemata are the main players on the line. The linebackers include Jamien Sherwood (team leading 154 tackles), Demario Davis (143 tackles with New Orleans) and Kiko Mauigoa. In the secondary are cornerbacks Brandon Stephens, Azareye'h Thomas and D'Angelo Ponds. The safeties are Minkah Fitzpatrick, Dane Belton (100 tackles with New York Giants), Andre Cisco and Keidron Smith. In the 2025 season, the Jets defense had ZERO interceptions and just 26 sacks, which led to a league worst minus-19 in turnovers.  

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - Head Coach Aaron Glenn is already rumored to be on the "hot seat" after just one season in The Big Apple as the team struggled to a 3-14 record, allowing the most points in pro football, which included 30-plus allowed eight times last season. The team was at or near the bottom of the NFL defensively, except for passing, where they were 17th ranked, but for the first time ever, the Jets became the only team to not have any interceptions for the season. Glenn came on board for his defensive prowess, so they are looking for big time improvement this season. 

On offense, the Jets didn't fair much better, finishing 29th overall and dead last in passing, averaging a paltry 140 yards per game. That is where QB Geno Smith comes in to lead the offense to hopefully better expectations in the upcoming season. Running back Breece Hall was a 1,000-yard rusher in 2025, but he needs to get that burst back that made him so dangerous in his first two seasons. The wide receivers need a shot in the arm as well health wise after losing top man Garrett Wilson to a knee injury. With Wilson back in tow, Smith has a premier target to throw to as well as Hall out of the backfield. The line has to do their part as well after allowing 60 sacks last year. 

All in all, this season has the looks of an uphill battle, but the team should win more than three games. Playing in the AFC East division means facing Buffalo and New England twice and the Jets will also face the AFC West and NFC North teams, which appear to be two of the better divisions in the NFL. The Jets should avoid the basement in the AFC East this season as Miami is going through a rebuild, but they have to prove on the field they can do better this season. It won't be easy, but if the Jets can show improvement on both offense and defense, the future will look a lot brighter after the disaster they experienced a year ago.

OFFENSE - Second year quarterback Jaxson Dart is back after an injury riddled rookie season where he passed for 2,272 yards and 487 rushing yards (5.7 YPC) and nine touchdowns while also having 15 passing touchdowns and throwing five interceptions. Veteran Jameis Winston (567 passing yards, two TD, two INT) will look to be the primary backup again this season. The running game features Tyrone Tracy, Jr. (740 yards, 4.2 YPC, two TD) and Cam Skattebo, who in eight games rushed for 410 yards (4.1 YPC) and scored five touchdowns and caught 24 passes for 207 yards and two more scores before a severe ankle injury ended his rookie season. The wide receivers are Malik Nabers (18 receptions, 271 yards, two TD in four games), Darius Slayton (37, 538, one TD), Darnell Mooney (32, 443, one TD with Atlanta), Calvin Austin III (31, 372, three TD with Pittsburgh) and rookie Malachi Fields (Notre Dame) along with tight ends Theo Johnson (45, 528, five TD) and Isaiah Likely, who had 27 receptions for 307 yards and one touchdown with Baltimore. Veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. returned in the off-season as well and is in training camp to add depth. 

DEFENSE - The Giants traded Dexter Lawrence to Cincinnati this off-season, leaving Shelby Harris, Darius Alexander and Roy Robertson-Harris as the main cogs up front. Brian Burns had 16 1/2 quarterback sacks a year ago and leads the linebacking corps. Also available are Abdul Carter (four sacks), rookie Arvell Reese (Ohio State), Kayvon Thibodeaux and Tremaine Edmunds, who had four interceptions and made 112 tackles with the Chicago Bears last season. The secondary has Tyler Nubin (74 tackles) and Jevon Holland at the safety spots and Greg Newsome II, Paulson Adebo and Dru Phillips (two interceptions) at cornerback. The pass defense was solid last year, ranking 16th while getting 39 sacks and picking off nine passes. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - Big changes for the Giants this season as John Harbaugh arrives as the new head coach after serving in that role for the Baltimore Ravens for 18 seasons, including one Super Bowl victory. He will oversee a team that is looking to contend in the NFC East, which has three other teams that made the playoffs in the past three years. The Giants are seeking to make it to the post-season for the first time in four years.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart will be the key for the offense and has many options with Malik Nabers (coming back from knee injuries) among the leading wide receivers and Cam Skattebo and Tyrone Tracy, Jr. in the backfield. Dart is a dual threat at quarterback and likes to play recklessly and run into defenders when scrambling, which caused some problems for the rookie last year. The team needs him on the field for offensive consistency, looking to provide balance. The rushing attack ranked fifth in 2025 and if Skattebo is completely back from his ankle injuries, he will team with Tyrone Tracy, Jr. to continue that success. The defense has to improve at stopping the run this year after finishing next to last in the league last season and also get more turnovers and pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Better red zone defense would help as they allowed 30-plus points six times a year ago. 

The Giants are a team looking to transform into a contender in 2026 after showing some signs of life with a mix of young players last season. Head Coach John Harbaugh will bring a new approach into the mix as well and if the team can be more consistent on both sides of the football, they just might be able to make some noise in the division battling the Eagles, Commanders and Cowboys. The playoffs are a big reach, but in today's NFL, one cannot rule it out. Strap it in Giants fans and enjoy the ride in 2026 because the possibilities could be endless.

OFFENSE - Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is back for his 22nd season and second in the Steel City after passing for 3,322 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions a year ago. Jaylen Warren (958 yards, 4.5 YPC, six TD) and Rico Dowdle (1,076, 4.6 YPC, six TD and 39 receptions for 297 yards, one TD with Carolina) will team up to form the running game. At wide receiver is DK Metcalf, who had 59 receptions for 850 yards and six touchdowns last season. Also in the mix will be Michael Pittman, Jr. coming over from Indianapolis after making 80 catches for 784 yards and seven touchdowns. Rookie Germie Bernard (Alabama) and tight ends Pat Freiermuth (41, 486, four TD) and Darnell Washington (31, 364, one TD) will aid the passing game as well. 

DEFENSE - Derrick Harmon, Cameron Heyward, Sebastian Joseph-Day and nose tackle Keeanu Benton man the front line and the linebackers are T.J. Watt (seven QB sacks and two interceptions), Patrick Queen (team leading 120 tackles), Payton Wilson (109 tackles), Alex Highsmith (9 1/2 sacks) and Nick Herbig, who had 7 1/2 sacks. The secondary is led by safety Jalen Ramsey (88 tackles) along with DeShon Elliott and Jaquan Brisker (93 tackles with Chicago) and the cornerbacks are Joey Porter, Jr. and Jamel Dean, who picked off three passes with Tampa Bay last year. The Steelers had 48 sacks and 15 interceptions last season, helping to lead to a plus-12 in the turnovers category.

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - There's a new head coach in Pittsburgh for the first time in 19 years as Mike McCarthy takes over after Mike Tomlin left and then took the television gig on Sunday Night Football. It was just the third head coaching change for the Steelers in 57 years. McCarthy will be reunited with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, where they won a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers 16 years ago. Rodgers will run the Steelers offense once again and has said this will be his final season. There are  weapons to utilize on offense with running backs Jaylen Warren and Rico Dowdle, who is coming off a 1,000-yard season with Carolina and DK Metcalf at wide receiver. The offense will look to rebound after finishing in the bottom third of the league in both rushing and passing. 

The Steelers run defense was solid in 2025, but improving against the pass is a must as opposing teams gouged the Steelers a year ago. The hope will be for the team to win the AFC North division again, but that won't be a cake walk as the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns look to dethrone them. The Steelers finish the season playing Baltimore twice in the final four weeks and that could very likely determine the winner in the division. Making the playoffs for the fourth straight year is attainable and how far the Steelers can go from there will depend on Rodgers and company playing at their absolute best.

OFFENSE - Quarterback Jayden Daniels is looking to stay on the field this season after that sensational rookie performance in 2024. But in 2025, Daniels was limited to seven games with various injuries, finishing with eight touchdown passes and three interceptions while passing for 1,262 yards. Veteran QB Marcus Mariota will look to be the backup again this year after he passed for 1,695 yards with ten touchdowns and seven interceptions along with 297 rushing yards and one score. The running game features Jacory Croskey-Merritt (805 yards, 4.6 YPC, eight TD) and Rachaad White, who went for 572 yards (4.3 YPC) and four touchdowns along with 40 receptions with Tampa Bay. There is a bevy of talent at wide receiver with Terry McLaurin (38, 582, three TD in ten games), Stefon Diggs (85, 1,013, four TD with New England), Jaylin Lane (16, 225), Van Jefferson and rookie Antonio Williams (Clemson) along with tight end Chig Okwonko, who had 56 receptions for 560 yards and two scores with Tennessee. 

DEFENSE - Up front is edge rusher K'Lavon Chaisson (7 1/2 QB sacks with New England), Dorance Armstrong (5 1/2 sacks), Javon Kinlaw, Charles Omenihu (5 1/2 sacks with Kansas City), Daron Payne and Tim Settle, Jr. and the linebackers are Frankie Luvu (86 tackles), Leo Chenal, rookie Sonny Styles (Ohio State) and Odefe Oweh, who had 7 1/2 sacks with the L.A. Chargers a year ago. Mike Sainristil (four interceptions) and Trey Amos are the cornerbacks and Quan Martin (95 tackles) and Nick Cross (120 tackles with Indianapolis) headline the safeties. Tyler Owens, Amik Robertson and Antonio Hamilton, Sr. provide depth. Washington was at the bottom of the NFL in total defense and had eight interceptions and 42 sacks last year. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - Head Coach Dan Quinn saw his squad go from 12-5 in 2024 to 5-12 last year mostly because of injuries, including starting QB Jayden Daniels and the hope is for better things as the regulars get back on the field, including some newcomers who have been around and could provide some spark on both sides of the football. Daniels will have Diggs along with McLaurin as the primary wideouts and two able running backs in Croskey-Merritt and Rachaad White, who also can make catches coming out of the backfield. 

The defense will have new faces in camp as eight players come aboard to bring some life to a defense that was at the bottom of the NFL last year while also giving up 26.5 points per game. Too often the Commanders were burned by the big plays and couldn't create the turnovers they thrived on two seasons ago. More aggressive play for the defense would work wonders for the Commanders, who were minus-13 in the turnover category after forcing 17 turnovers two years ago. The first half of the schedule is rough and then lightens up in the second half of the season, so if Washington can get off to a good start and compete with the other three teams in the NFC East, they could be right there when January rolls around. The playoffs are a possibility as long as the team can do their thing with Daniels and company causing havoc for opponents and the defense showing steady play.

OFFENSE - Malik Willis comes into the 2026 season for the Dolphins at quarterback after playing for the Green Bay Packers last year, where he had 422 passing yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions in very limited action. Quinn Ewers (622 passing yards, three TD, three INT) will be the backup. The top running back is De'von Achane, who ran for 1,350 yards (5.7 YPC) and scored eight touchdowns while also grabbing 67 pass receptions for 488 yards and four touchdowns. Jaylen Wright had 288 rushing yards (4.1 YPC) and two touchdowns while spelling Achane. With Jaylen Waddle going to Denver this year and Tyreek Hill being released, the Dolphins have a new cast of wide receivers for 2026, led by Malik Washington (46, 317, three TD), Jalen Tolbert, tight end Greg Ducich (26, 335, one TD) and a slew of players in training camp looking to be a part of the passing game this year. 

DEFENSE - Kenneth Grant, Zach Sieler (5 1/2 QB sacks), Chop Robinson and Joshua Uche form the front line while Jordyn Brooks (183 tackles) leads the linebackers along with Tyrel Dodson (129 tackles, five sacks), Ronnie Harrison, Jr. and rookie Jacob Rodriguez (Texas Tech). The secondary has Darrell Baker, Jr., Chris Johnson and Jason Marshall, Jr. at the corner spots while Dante Trader, Jr. and Lonnie Johnson, Jr. will likely start at safety. Miami had just nine interceptions a year ago and 39 sacks for a defense that finished 22nd overall. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - With new Head Coach Mike Hafley taking over and so many players leaving the team, it's a whole new look for the Dolphins heading into the 2026 season. Gone are quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle and defensive leaders Minkah Fitzpatrick, Bradley Chubb and Rasul Douglas, leaving a huge turnover in player personnel. 

The team will be counting on Willis to make things happen at quarterback, especially in the passing game, which dropped to 25th in the NFL after being such a high flying act just a couple of seasons ago. The running game should be decent again as long as Achane stays on the field, but the rest of the bunch will have to do more to take pressure off the fourth year running back. The key is how effective Willis can be after showing signs of good things with the Packers while filling in for Jordan Love. The defense will look to mesh as well with so much turnover after losing their sacks leader (Chubb) and interceptions leader (Douglas) and some growing pains can be expected with so many young players being thrown into the action. This team is clearly building for the future, so the expectations will be lowered from the seven victories of last year as the Dolphins gain experience from week to week.

OFFENSE - The Vikings brought in former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray this year to compete for the starting job with J.J. McCarthy, who missed seven games last year while passing for 1,632 yards with eleven touchdowns and twelve interceptions and scoring four rushing touchdowns. Murray was also injured in 2025, playing in only five games while throwing for 962 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions. Jordan Mason (758 rushing yards, 4.6 YPC, six TD) and Aaron Jones are the running backs. Jones was banged up last season and had 548 yards (4.2 YPC) and two scores in twelve games. The wide receivers are Justin Jefferson, who made 84 receptions for 1,048 yards and two touchdowns along with Jordan Addison (42, 610, three TD) and Jauan Jennings (55, 436, nine TD with San Francisco). The tight end is T.J. Hockenson, who had 51 receptions for 438 yards and three touchdowns. 

DEFENSE - There is plenty of talent here, starting with Dominique Orange, Eric Johnson II, rookie Caleb Banks (Florida) and Jalen Redmond up front. The linebackers include Dallas Turner (eight QB sacks), Andrew Van Ginkel (seven sacks), Eric Wilson (108 tackles, 6 1/2 sacks) and Blake Cashman, who led the team with 144 tackles. The secondary has cornerbacks Isaiah Rodgers, Jr. and Byron Murphy, Jr. (two interceptions) as well as safeties Jay Ward and Josh Metellus, who had two interceptions and made 86 tackles last season. The Vikings amassed 49 sacks and picked off eight passes while ranking third in total defense. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - It was a pretty big step back a year ago as the Vikings missed the playoffs after a 14 win season two years ago and Head Coach Kevin O' Connell knows the team can rebound and get back into it this season. The Vikings did finish strong, winning the final five games to avoid a losing record and staying out of the basement in the rugged NFC North division. 

The big goal this year is to get the offense back on track after the team let quarterback Sam Darnold leave for Seattle. Second year man J.J. McCarthy was ineffective in 2025 while also missing time with injuries, as he had 14 turnovers in the ten games he started, which resulted in a minus-9 in that area for the team. Kyler Murray has fallen off is recent seasons with the Cardinals, but the coaching staff in Minnesota will look to fix that and hope he can deliver and get the passing attack going again. The Vikings have one of the best wideouts in the NFL with Justin Jefferson and now with Jauan Jennings coming aboard this season, there is potential for a big jump from the 29th place ranking in passing from a year ago. The running game also needs to get going as well and if Jones and Mason can show better results this season, it would be a big boost for the offense, which was 28th overall and averaged 20.2 points, which was near the bottom of the league. 

There is always hope in the current NFL for a quick rebound and Minnesota can see that happen as long as the offense plays better. The defense was solid and should continue to play well, but forcing more turnovers would help out. The Vikings open the 2026 season with two division opponents and (on paper) have what appears to be a favorable schedule, but results come from the action on the playing field. This team can contend in the division battle, where all four teams had a winning record. The NFC is stacked with good teams and should the Vikings make the playoffs, it would take a big effort to make a deep run.

OFFENSE - After being injured (ankle) in the AFC playoffs last year, Bo Nix is back as the quarterback and he finished the 2025 season with 3,931 passing yards and 25 touchdowns and eleven interceptions. He also scored five rushing touchdowns while gaining 356 yards with a 4.3 yards per carry average. Running back J.K. Dobbins led Denver with 772 rushing yards (5.0 YPC) and scored four times while RJ Harvey gained 540 yards (3.7 YPC) and had five touchdowns. The Broncos wide receiving corps has Courtland Sutton (74 receptions, 1,017 yards, seven TD), Troy Franklin (65, 709, six TD), Pat Bryant (31, 378, one TD) and Jaylen Waddle (64, 910, six TD with Miami Dolphins). Evan Engram (50, 461, one TD) and Adam Trautman are the tight ends. 

DEFENSE - D.J. Jones, Malcolm Roach and Zach Allen lead the defense up front and the linebackers include Nik Bonitto (14 QB sacks), Jonathan Cooper (eight sacks), Justin Strnad, Alex Singleton, who led the Broncos with 135 tackles and Dondrea Tillman, who had two interceptions. Safeties Brandon Jones  and Talanoa Hufanga (106 tackles) team with cornerbacks Pat Surtain II, Riley Moss (80 tackles) and Ja'Quan McMillan (two INT) in the secondary that helped out with the second ranked defense in the NFL last season, which also had ten interceptions and a league leading 68 quarterback sacks. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - The Broncos seemed ready to get back to the Super Bowl for the first time in ten years after beating the Buffalo Bills in the AFC divisional round, but then it was learned quarterback Bo Nix broke his ankle in the win and the following week they fell at home against New England in the AFC Championship game. Heading into 2026, Head Coach Sean Payton wants to see the team finish the job. The defense led the way last season, ranking near the top of the NFL in total defense, scoring and rushing while terrorizing opposing quarterbacks with a fierce pass rush. 

The offense will look to get a shot in the arm as they added wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who comes over from the Miami Dolphins to join a good core of receivers and give quarterback Bo Nix another option in the passing game. Improving the running game would help after finishing in the middle of the pack and running backs J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey look to do their part along with a solid offensive line that allowed only 23 sacks. If the offense gains consistency with Nix entering his third season, the Broncos should make it to the playoffs for a third straight time. The AFC West is a strong division with the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs looking to dethrone Denver for first place in addition to a very rugged schedule in the first half of the season. It will not be easy, but the pieces are in place for another playoff run and barring injuries to Nix or other key players, this team could very well get to the Super Bowl this time around.

OFFENSE - Last year's NFL Most Valuable Player Matthew Stafford is back at quarterback for his 18th season after passing for 4,707 yards with 46 touchdowns and eight interceptions. The Rams also have Stetson Bennett IV and rookie Ty Simpson (Alabama) available as backups. Kyren Williams is the top running back and he rushed for 1,252 yards last season with ten touchdowns and averaged 4.8 yards per carry. Blake Corum had 746 rushing yards and averaged 5.1 YPC while scoring six touchdowns. At wide receiver is Davante Adams, who led the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns while making 68 receptions for 789 yards and Puka Nacua, who led the NFL with 129 receptions, good for 1,715 yards and ten touchdowns. Xavier Smith (18, 303) and Konata Mumpfield provide depth while tight end Colby Parkinson (43, 408, eight TD) is a big time red zone weapon in the passing game. 

DEFENSE - The line will receive a huge boost with All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett (NFL season record 23 sacks last year with Cleveland) coming on board and there has been rumors that eventual Hall-of-Fame player Aaron Donald might come out of retirement to play. As for those who are active for 2026, the Rams also have Kobie Turner, Poona Ford and Braden Fiske up front. The linebacking corps has Nate Landman (team leading 132 tackles) along with Omar Speights and Byron Young, who had 82 tackles, including a team high 12 sacks a year ago. The secondary will have Trent McDuffie manning a cornerback spot this year along with Jaylen Watson (two interceptions) who both come over from the Kansas City Chiefs this year. Emmanuel Forbes, Jr. is another corner and he had three interceptions last season. The safeties are Quentin Lake and Kamren Curl, who made 122 tackles last season. The Rams intercepted 16 passes in 2025 and had 47 sacks. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - It looks to be Super Bowl or bust this season in Tinsel Town as some big name players join the team that was so close to making it there last January. Head Coach Sean McVay remains among the best in the business after speculation he might retire after the last few seasons. Why do that when you have the best offense in the NFL going and now some All-Pro players joining an already solid defense? 

With Stafford back again and remaining healthy, this team has the potential to lead the league in scoring for a second straight year. There is balance with good running and passing games and the line only allowed 23 sacks a year ago. The tandem of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams don't always get the acclamation of other NFL wide receiver duos, but they are among the best there is in pro football. As for the defense, adding Myles Garrett to an already scary pass rush should be a big difference maker and the secondary has two new corners that will have an impact as well. 

Barring injuries to any of their main players, the Rams should be right there in late January competing to make it to the Super Bowl, which will be held in their home stadium in Los Angeles in February. It won't be easy though as they play in the NFL's best division (NFC West) with defending Super Bowl champion Seattle looming large and the San Francisco 49ers as well. The last time the Rams made it to the Super Bowl five years ago, they won it all in the same place where they currently play. Coincidence? The hopes are high and the sky is the limit it seems as the Rams appear poised to hoist the Vince Lombardi trophy once again. Now it is up to them to prove it and do it.

OFFENSE - The Raiders brought in veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins and it looks like he will get the starting job as training camp goes along. Last year with Atlanta, Cousins split time as the quarterback and had 1,721 passing yards with ten touchdowns and five interceptions in ten games. The number one NFL draft pick in 2026 was Fernando Mendoza out of Indiana, fresh off a national championship undefeated season that also included the Heisman trophy. Mendoza will be the Raiders starting quarterback at some point. Tight end Brock Bowers missed five games last season after his huge rookie year in 2024, but he still had 64 receptions for 680 yards and seven touchdowns. Along with Bowers in the passing game are wide receivers Tre Tucker (57, 696, five TD), Jalen Nailor (29, 444, four TD with Minnesota) and rookie Malik Benson (Oregon) as well as tight end Michael Mayer. Second year running back Ashton Jeanty (975 yards, 3.7 YPC, five TD and 55 receptions, 346 yards, five TD) will be the featured back again in 2026 and rookie Mike Washington, Jr. (Arkansas) is expected to get his share of the workload as well. 

DEFENSE - Defensive End Maxx Crosby returns to man the front line and he had ten sacks last season to lead the Raiders. Tackles Adam Butler, Tonka Hemingway (four sacks) and JJ Pegues are also ready to go for the Silver and Black. The linebackers include Malcolm Koonce (4 1/2 sacks), Kwity Paye and Quay Walker, who comes over from Green Bay, where he had 128 tackles a year ago. The safeties are Jeremy Chinn (114 tackles), Isaiah Pola-Mao (90 tackles and two interceptions) and Treydan Stukes while the cornerbacks are Darien Porter and Eric Stokes. The Raiders intercepted eight passes last year and had 37 sacks while ranking in the middle of the pack in the NFL in total defense. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - After a disastrous 3-14 finish in 2025, Pete Carroll is gone and in comes new head coach Klint Kubiak, who was the offensive coordinator for the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. With a fresh approach on offense and two new quarterbacks, the Raiders will be looking for more explosion this season after averaging only 14.2 points per game last year, which was dead last in the NFL. Cousins brings experience and Mendoza is definitely the future for the team at quarterback and they will have decent weapons to utilize. The offensive line has to get better as they allowed a league high 64 sacks last season while struggling to give rookie running back Ashton Jeanty running room. 

The defense will have Crosby back after a trade with the Baltimore Ravens fell through. Whether he remains a Raider all season long is another story, but for now "Mad Maxx" is the anchor of the defense in Las Vegas. The Raiders were a minus-7 in turnovers and must apply better pressure on the opposing quarterbacks and get more interceptions this season. All in all, it will be a year of transition for the team as they get accustomed to a new coaching staff and personnel leading the offense. Playing in the AFC West, with Denver, Kansas City and the L.A. Chargers around, will be a big task again for this team. If they can double the amount of wins this season, consider that a plus as they build for the future.

OFFENSE - Quarterback Dak Prescott is entering his 11th NFL season and last year he passed for 4,552 yards and threw for 30 touchdowns while being intercepted ten times. His backups include Sam Howell and Joe Milton III. The running backs are Javonte Williams (1,201 yards, 4.8 YPC, eleven TD), Malik Davis (250, 4.8, two TD) and fullback Hunter Luepke. The wide receivers are led by CeeDee Lamb, who had 75 receptions for 1,077 yards and three touchdowns and George Pickens, who hauled in 93 receptions for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns. Ryan Flournoy made 40 receptions for 475 yards and four scores while tight end Jake Ferguson had 82 receptions for 600 yards and eight touchdowns. 

DEFENSE - This unit is led on the line by Rashan Gary (7 1/2 QB sacks with Green Bay in 2025), Kenny Clark, Donovan Ezeiruaku, James Houston (5 1/2 sacks) and Quinnen Williams. The linebackers are Dee Winters, who led the San Francisco 49ers last season with 101 tackles, along with DeMarvion Overshown, Shemar James (84 tackles) and rookies Malachi Lawrence (Central Florida) and Jaishawn Barham (Michigan). DaRon Bland, Cobie Durant (three interceptions with L.A. Rams) and Shavon Revel, Jr. are the cornerbacks and the safeties include Malik Hooker, Caleb Downs (rookie from Ohio State) and Jalen Thompson, who had 95 tackles with the Arizona Cardinals last year. The Dallas defense was at or near the bottom of the league last year and only had 35 sacks and six interceptions. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - The defense is the big issue coming into this year as the Cowboys allowed the most points in pro football a year ago, giving up 30-plus points nine times last season, including 40 or more points three different times. Head Coach Brian Schottenheimer will have a new defensive coordinator in town as Christian Parker takes over that responsibility. The Cowboys added ten new faces and drafted five rookies for the defense this year. 

The offense is just the opposite, finishing second overall in the NFL in 2025 and averaging just under 28 points per game. The passing attack features two of the best wideouts in the game in Pickens and Lamb and tight end Jake Ferguson is a red zone weapon as well. To balance things out is running back Javonte Williams, who was spectacular for the 'Pokes last season. As long as Dak Prescott stays healthy behind center, the Dallas offense should continue to fly high again this season. 

It has been over 30 years since this proud franchise made it to the NFC Championship game and that was also the last time they won the Super Bowl following the 1995 season. Dallas fans are impatient and would like to see the team make a move in the playoffs, provided they even make it there. The Cowboys have talent and can score points with anybody and they can make it happen, but as has been the recent history with this team, they seem to find a way to fall short. The big question will be whether or not all the changes they made during the off-season on defense will bring better results.

OFFENSE - Justin Herbert enters his seventh season as the quarterback for the Chargers and last season he had 26 touchdown passes along with 13 interceptions and 3,727 passing yards. He also rushed for 498 yards (6.0 YPC average) and scored two times. Trey Lance is the backup quarterback. The running game features Omarion Hampton, who gained 545 yards in his rookie season in nine games (ankle injury) while scoring four touchdowns and averaging 4.4 yards per carry. Kimani Vidal led the 'Bolts with 643 rushing yards (4.1 YPC) and scored three touchdowns. The wide receivers include Ladd McConkey (66 receptions for 789 yards and six TD), Quentin Johnston (51, 731, eight TD) and rookie Brenen Thompson (Mississippi) along with tight ends Oronde Gadsden II (49, 664, three TD) and David Njoku, who caught 33 passes for 293 yards and four touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns last season. 

DEFENSE - Defensive End Justin Eboigbe (six QB sacks), Delvin Tomlinson, Teair Tart and Jamaree Caldwell lead the front line for the team while the linebackers are Daiyan Henley (team leading 101 tackles), Denzel Perryman, Khalil Mack and Tuli Tuipulotu, who had 13 sacks last year. Rookie Akheem Mesidor (Miami, FL) is another linebacker they will count on this season. The secondary features safety Derwin James, who had three interceptions and 94 tackles along with Tony Jefferson II (54 tackles and four INT) and cornerbacks Cam Hart, Donte Jackson (four picks) and Tarheeb Still. The Chargers defense amassed 45 sacks last season and intercepted 19 passes, which was third best in the league while ranking fifth overall in total defense. 

2026 SEASON OUTLOOK - After two consecutive 11-6 finishes and first round AFC playoff exits, the Chargers are looking for more out of this talented roster. Head Coach Jim Harbaugh has had success everywhere he has coached in both the NFL and college level. The key for the team will be on offense, where Herbert and company have to play better should they make the playoffs once again. The team has a new offensive coordinator with former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and he is regarded as one of the top offensive minds in the game. The hope for 2026 is that will be the difference in offensive production. 

The defense has been one of the better units in the NFL for the past two years, but they will be with a new coordinator (Chris O'Leary) as well as Jesse Minter left to become head coach in Baltimore this season. How well the new plans on defense for this year can mesh with the players will determine just how good they can be. The Chargers were in the top ten in all the major defensive categories last year and feature a hard hitting secondary led by Pro Bowl safety Derwin James.

The 2026 season is Harbaugh's third year at the helm in Los Angeles and the Chargers would love to get out from under the shadow of the Rams, who share the same stadium with them and are deemed as the favorites to win the Super Bowl. Better pass protection is essential in 2026 as the team allowed 60 sacks last season and they brought in no less than five new linemen to help improve in that area. This team should be in the mix for another playoff appearance this season and as long as the key players on both sides of the football stay healthy, the sky could be the limit. The AFC West has the Denver Broncos and the always formidable Kansas City Chiefs looming, so the Chargers know what they have to do to attain success. Once January rolls around, this team should be ready to go in the playoffs. They just have to prove they can do it when the time comes.
