NFL Football - Season Opening Kickoff Game Preview

The Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks, the defending Super Bowl champions, will get the 2014 NFL season started Thursday night in the Great Northwest.
It should be a great game, given the offensive fire power the Packers have, led by All-Pro quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The running game features Eddie Lacy, who rumbled for over 1,000 yards in his rookie season. The Seahawks tenacious defense, led by the "Legion of Boom" secondary that led the NFL in pass defense last year, will present a stiff challenge to Green Bay's offense.
Of course, the Seahawks can score points too and are led by third-year QB Russell Wilson, who in his first two seasons already has a Super Bowl ring.
Running back Marshawn Lynch will attempt to get back in "Beast Mode" after going for over 1,200 yards (in 2013) while leading the running attack. Wilson can also run as well as pass the ball and that will present problems for the vulnerable Green Bay defense, which struggled last season.
And let's not forget the "12th Man" ... the home crowd in Seattle that can get ridiculously loud during games at CenturyLink Field.
Heftyinfo likes the Seahawks to repeat as Super Bowl champions this season, so getting the season started off right is a big step for them realizing that goal.

                           PREDICTION -  Seattle 27, Green Bay 20
