When it comes to the NFL, who knows what to expect any more.
There were mega upsets last week, including the Detroit Lions (2-7) knocking off the Green Bay Packers (6-3) in Lambeau Field for the first time in 24 years. The week concluded with Houston (4-5) going into Cincinnati and knocking off the Bengals, which was their first loss this season.
So now it is on to Week Eleven in the NFL and will there be more surprises like last week?
Who really knows?
The week gets going tonight with what appears (on paper) as a bum match up between the Tennessee Titans (2-7) playing at the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6), who surprised the dismal Baltimore Ravens, 22-20 last week with a last second field goal.
This is also the final week teams will have their "bye week" as the season gets ready to enter the home stretch.
A big game this Sunday afternoon will feature the Green Bay Packers traveling to face the Minnesota Vikings, who have won five straight games. Meanwhile, the Packers are reeling as they have dropped three in a row.
The Sunday Night Football game saw a switch as the Kansas City-San Diego was moved out of "prime time" in favor of the Cincinnati Bengals (8-1) at the Arizona Cardinals (7-2), and both of these teams played in the night games last week.
The Dallas Cowboys, who have been downright awful since starting quarterback Tony Romo was injured in Week Two, will travel to face the Miami Dolphins as Romo returns from the injured list. Dallas has lost seven in a row since Romo went out with his broken collar bone.
One other interesting game will have the surging Chicago Bears (4-5) hosting the Denver Broncos (7-2), a team that has dropped two straight games and will be without starting QB Peyton Manning, who has two nagging injuries that may sideline him for quite some time.
Another note of interest to this game is Bears' Head Coach John Fox getting to face his former team, which he helped lead to the Super Bowl just two years ago.
It looks to be another interesting week in the NFL, and one knows to expect the unexpected as it gets going tonight.
The Heftyinfo previews and picks for Week Eleven follow up after a rough week (5-9) that was the first losing record for the weekly picks this season.
Tennessee (2-7) at Jacksonville (3-6) - The Jaguars are a much improved team from recent seasons. Tennessee has been bad again this year.
Indianapolis (4-5) at Atlanta (6-3) - Two teams coming off their bye weeks. Who knows what to expect in this one.
St. Louis (4-5) at Baltimore (2-7) - The Rams got pasted at home last week against Chicago while the Ravens blew their home game to Jacksonville. Ouch!
Washington (4-5) at Carolina (9-0) - The Panthers better be ready because the Redskins are playing good football lately.
Denver (7-2) at Chicago (4-5) - The Bears have playing out of their minds all of a sudden and Head Coach John Fox would love to stick it to his former team.
Oakland (4-5) at Detroit (2-7) - Can the Lions roar again this week?
New York Jets (5-4) at Houston (4-5) - The Texans have suddenly looked like a decent team once again in recent weeks.
