OFFENSE - Quarterback Russell Wilson is coming off another solid season, passing for 4,110 yards with 31 touchdowns and five interceptions while also rushing for 342 yards (4.6 ypc average) and scored three rushing touchdowns.
The running game has Chris Carson (1,230 yards, 4.4 ypc and seven TD and 37 receptions with two TD), Carlos Hyde (1,070, 4.4 ypc and six TD with Houston), Rashaad Penny (370. 5.7 ypc and three TD) and also rookie DeeJay Dallas (Miami, FL).
Tyler Lockett (82 receptions, 1,057 yards and eight TD), DK Metcalf (58, 900, seven TD), David Moore (17, 301, two TD) and Phillip Dorsett (29, 397, five TD with New England) make up the primary wide receivers. The tight end will be Greg Olsen, who had 52 receptions for 597 yards and two touchdowns with Carolina last season. Will Dissly (23, 262, four TD) is a solid tight end and a great red zone target.

DEFENSE - The defensive ends are Rasheem Green (four QB sacks) and Bruce Irvin (8 1/2 sacks with Carolina) while Poona Ford and Jarran Reed will play tackle up front. Darrell Taylor (Tennessee) is a rookie looking to contribute on the line along with P.J. Johnson, who just signed with the team.
Bobby Wagner (three sacks) mans the middle linebacker spot and K.J. Wright (three interceptions) and rookie Jordyn Brooks (Texas Tech) will play the outside. Cody Barton and Ben Burr-Kirven will be available as well.
In the secondary is safety Quandre Diggs (three picks with one for a touchdown) along with Jamal Adams, who is a difference maker, and Marquise Blair. The corners include Shaquill Griffin, Tre Flowers (three INT and two sacks), Quinton Dunbar (four INT with Washington) and Neiko Thorpe.
Seattle allowed 382 yards per game last year (26th) as the run defense allowed 118 YPG (22nd) and pass defense (264 YPG - 27th) both struggled. The Seahawks also allowed 24.9 points per game, which was 22nd in the NFL. Turnovers included 16 interceptions, which led to a plus-12 in that area while they totaled 28 sacks.

OUTLOOK FOR 2020 - The offense centers around Russell Wilson and he had another outstanding season in 2019, putting up good numbers and coming up big numerous times in clutch situations during the regular season. The running game is solid and should get an even bigger boost with Carlos Hyde joining Carson in the backfield.
The Seahawks ranked eighth in the league in total offense, gaining 374 yards per game. The running game averaged 137 YPG  (4th in NFL) while the passing game averaged 237 yards per game. The 'Hawks averaged 25.3 points per game.
Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll knows as long as Wilson stays healthy and the COVID-19 virus doesn't deplete the offense, the Seahawks should thrive again. Wilson is still pretty elusive, but better pass protection is in order as he was dropped 48 times last season by opponents.
The key to not only making the playoffs again, but advancing further will be the defense, which used to be the strong suit of this team. The Legion of Boom days are long gone and the Seahawks realized this in the off-season by drafting three defensive players and picking up four free agents as well.
But the big move was trading future draft picks and safety Bradley McDougald to the New York Jets for All-Pro safety Jamal Adams, who will step right in as the strong safety and should help to improve the defense, which gave up too much last season. Seattle also needs a better pass rush to help take pressure off the secondary.
Playing in perhaps the best division in the NFL, the Seahawks know nothing will come easy. But if they can improve on the defense and limit opponents on a consistent basis, they should get back to the playoffs and perhaps make a push to get to the Super Bowl.
