HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL PASSES HOUSE
H.R. 3962 passed the U.S. House of Representatives at 11:07 p.m. on Saturday, November 7th, 2009 ... nine years to the day when George W. Bush and Al Gore were up for election in what turned out to be a huge controversy that still has the country divided regarding politics.
That being said, the Health Care Reform Bill (with the PUBLIC OPTION) is alive and well and now will advance to the Senate for debate and procedural measures.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) pounded the gavel after announcing the bill passed 220-215 with one Republican, Anh Joseph Cao (Louisiana-2nd District) coming aboard for the final vote.
If all goes well, the House and Senate will go into conference and hopefully provide a bill to be signed by President Barack Obama by year's end.
