Major League Baseball Post-Season Preview

The Major League Baseball regular season for 2021 is over now and it's on to the playoffs for ten teams.

The San Francisco Giants had the best overall record in the majors this year, winning 107 games and beating out the defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers by one game for the National League West division crown. Meanwhile, over in the American League, the Tampa Bay Rays won 100 games and ran away with the American League East title as four teams in that division won 91 or more games this season.

The wild card games will get things started and it will be the New York Yankees playing at the Boston red Sox in the American League. The National League wild card game features the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the St. Louis Cardinals. The Red Birds were the absolute hottest team in baseball in recent weeks, having reeled off 17 wins in a row at one point.

The winner of Yankees-Red Sox faces the Rays in A.L. and the Giants will face off against the winner of the Cardinals-Dodgers wild card game in the senior circuit.

Anything can happen once the action begins and this year will be no different as the baseball postseason gets started. Back in late March, Heftyinfo baseball season preview went with the Chicago White Sox and the L.A. Dodgers to make the 2021 World Series and the Dodgers picked to repeat as World Series champions.

No reason to change that pick, so here goes nothing in picking the rest of the series leading up to the World Series.
