People Of Illinois Say No To Bruce Rauner

Here in Illinois, we say NO to Bruce Rauner, Republican running for Governor because he is just another in a long line of greedy corporate types (just like failed Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney in 2012) hell bent on destroying the Middle Class citizens of this country.

(And this post is not an endorsement for Rauner or Kirk Dillard, his opponent in the GOP primary in Illinois)

Think Spring

With all of the snow and cold weather most of the country has been going through this winter season, it's time to think Spring as we are in mid-February and no doubt warmer days are just ahead.
That being said, here are some inspirational pictures to help warm things up a bit as we suffer through the snow and cold for a few more weeks.

Sunday Lesson

Take a good look at this picture and caption... and ask yourself ... What's wrong with this?

According to the right wing in this country, absolutely nothing. How pathetic is that?

The Bible says that Jesus broke the five loaves of bread and divided the two fishes and fed the five thousand people on that day.  He did not turn them away!

Hear that right wing conservatives?

May God have mercy on your souls.

Political Stew

It's winter time and what better time for stew... political stew!

Here we go . . .

Isn't it strange that former U.S. House rep Ron Paul (Republican-Texas) was largely ignored by the main stream media but yet his ass clown son Rand Paul, a U.S. Senator (Republican-Kentucky) gets constant main stream media coverage?  Go figure.

How about U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (Republican-Illinois) who had a serious stroke two years ago and got the help HE needed then turns around and votes NO to those in need for much needed extension of unemployment payments.  The bill came up short by one vote. WHAT A STROKE Mark Kirk is ... pun intended!

President Barack Obama needs to get his head out of his ass and forget about wanting to "fast track" the God forsaken legislation known as the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP)  that will just assure that millions more of Americans watch their decent paying jobs go overseas to countries that pay slave wages to people.

Tell me again why anyone in their right mind would vote to keep the Republican party in control of the U.S. House of representatives and possibly give these ass clowns control of the U.S. Senate? Haven't they done enough damage to this country already?

How about that jackoff Paul Ryan (Republican-Wisconsin) proposing even more cuts to the poorest people of this country who have already seen cuts in food stamps they receive or else have been denied extension of unemployment payments THEY PAID INTO WHILE THEY WERE EMPLOYED AT ONE TIME.

Is it just me or does this country seem to be headed toward third world country status, that is if we haven't attained it already?

Is there anyone other than U.S. Senators Bernie Sanders (Independent- Vermont) and Elizabeth Warren (Democrat- Massachusetts) that are actually proposing any kind of meaningful legislation for the working people of this country?

Why has Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer (Democrat) suddenly reversed course and now supports the Keystone XL Tar Sands Oil pipeline? While we're at it, the same can be asked of political talker Ed Schultz regarding this same topic.

Raise your hand if you agree with me that current Speaker of the U.S. House John Boehner (Republican- Ohio) has got to go.

And finally . . . will anything get done this year in the U.S. Congress seeing this is a mid-term Election Year?

Seattle Seahawks Rout Denver To Win Super Bowl 48

It was quarterback Russell Wilson and the feared "Legion of Boom" Seattle Seahawks defense dominating the Denver Broncos in a 43-8 rout in Super Bowl 48 in New Jersey on Sunday evening.
Seattle linebacker Malcolm Smith was named the Most Valuable Player as the Sehawks thoroughly dominated from start to finish, getting a defensive score with a safety on the first play from scrimmage and later scored again on defense when (linebacker Malcolm) Smith intercepted a Peyton Manning pass and took it back 69 yards for a touchdown and 22-0 half time lead.
The second half was once again ALL SEATTLE as Percy Harvin ran back the second half kickoff 87 yards for a touchdown and a 29-0 lead as the rout continued.
For the game, Wilson completed 18 of 25 pass attempts for 206 yards and two touchdowns while Manning (34 for 49 for 280 yards) was intercepted twice and also fumbled in the loss. The Broncos had four turnovers in the game.
But it's Head Coach Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks celebrating as Super Bowl champions.
