Saturday Afternoon with Progressive Talker Bill Press

Progressive radio and political talk show host Bill Press (seen and heard nationally on Current TV and numerous radio stations across the country) was in Chicago on Saturday to discuss the political campaigns and other issues involving politics.
The two-hour banter, sponsored locally in Chicago by WCPT-AM and FM progressive talk radio, included excerpts from Press' new book titled, "The Obama Hate Machine: The Lies, Distortions, and Personal Attacks on the President - And Who is Behind Them."
Press discussed the issues outlined in his book and took questions from the audience, which convened at a suburban book store.
The key discussion topics included the "Citizens" United decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, the hatred spewed about by right wing extremists on the blogosphere as well as the syndicated radio and TV right wing political talkers.
Press has been involved in politics for over 40 years and has deep ties with California Governor Jerry Brown in addition to writing books and hosting his daily radio and television political gabfest.

A short video offers a sample of the afternoon events from Press' gathering with the public.
