NFL - Week Ten Review

The big game on Sunday night between the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears proved to be one big turnover fest as the Texans outlasted the host Bears, 13-6 with six turnovers committed by the two teams in the rain at Soldier Field.
Arian Foster hauled in a touchdown pass from quarterback Matt Schaub for the game's only touchdown to make the difference. Bears' QB Jay Cutler left the game after suffering a concussion on a jarring hit from Texans' linebacker Tim Dobbins late in the first half.
Titans RB Chris Johnson celebrates a touchdown.
The Tennessee Titans bounced back from a trouncing the week before by trouncing the host Miami Dolphins, 37-3 behind Chris Johnson (126 rushing yards and a TD) and a solid defensive effort that scored a touchdown off an interception and limited the Dolphins to just 54 rushing yards along with four turnovers.
Baltimore ran it up against the visiting Oakland Raiders, 55-20 behind 341 yards passing and three touchdowns (and a running score) from QB Joe Flacco. Ray Rice also scored a rushing TD and Jacoby Jones ran a kickoff back 105 yards for another score for the Ravens.
Tampa Bay knocked off the visiting San Diego Chargers, 34-24 as the defense scored a TD on an interception return as the Bolts were driving for the potential go ahead score in the fourth quarter.
San Diego QB Philip Rivers was brilliant in the first half, throwing for three touchdowns but was awful in the second half, throwing two picks, including the deciding touchdown the Bucs scored to ice the game. Tampa Bay also blocked a punt that was returned for a score to help make the difference in the final outcome.
Cincinnati surprised the visiting New York Giants, 31-13 as the defense intercepted QB Eli Manning twice while Bengals' QB Andy Dalton was very efficient with 199 passing yards and four TD strikes.
Vikings RB Adrian Peterson had a big day in win.
The Minnesota Vikings were led by Adrian Peterson, the Heftyinfo NFL Player of the Week, who ran for 171 yards and scored the deciding TD on a 61-yard jaunt in the final quarter of a 34-24 victory against the visiting Detroit Lions.
The New England Patriots outlasted the Buffalo Bills, 37-31 as QB Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a costly interception late in the game to spoil a good day that saw him throw for 337 yards and two touchdowns. Bills' running back Fred Jackson ran for two scores in the loss. Patriots QB Tom Brady had two TD passes to pace the win.
The Denver Broncos continued to roll behind QB Peyton Manning, who had 301 yards passing and a TD pass to go with a defensive and special teams touchdown to lead the 36-14 win at Carolina.
New Orleans knocked off the visiting Atlanta Falcons 31-27 behind three TD passes from Drew Brees. The loss was the first of the season for the Falcons, which saw QB Matt Ryan throw for 411 yards and three touchdowns in the setback.
The Dallas Cowboys beat the host Philadelphia Eagles, 38-23 as the defense scored twice (a fumble recovery and interception return) and Dwayne Harris returned a punt 78 yards for another score to go with two TD passes from quarterback Tony Romo. Eagles' QB Michael Vick left the game with a concussion in the first half.
Rookie QB Russell Wilson threw two TD passes and the Seattle Seahawks defense held the New York Jets to just 185 yards in total offense in a 28-7 home win to improve to 6-4.
There was a rare tie (the first since 2008) as the St. Louis Rams and host San Francisco 49ers played to a 24-24 outcome. Rams' kicker Greg Zuerlein missed a 58-yard field goal in the OT session following a penalty that nullified a 53-yard kick that would have won the game.
St. Louis QB Sam Bradford had 275 pass yards and a pair of TD passes in the game. Meanwhile, 49ers QB Alex Smith left the game in the first half with a concussion.
The Indianapolis Colts rolled to another win last Thursday night, 27-10 against the Jacksonville Jaguars behind a pair of rushing touchdowns by QB Andrew Luck and an 11-yard interception return by Darius Butler.
The Monday Night Football Game saw the Pittsburgh Steelers survive a scare at home against the Kansas City Chiefs, 16-13 in overtime as Shaun Suisham drilled a 23-yard game winning field goal. Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (pictured at left) left the game in the third quarter with a shoulder injury and did not return and is questionable for next Sunday's game against division rival Baltimore.
