Whatever Happened To Common Sense In America

The thing I notice most about the United States of America these days is the affable people who still support the "policies" that Donald Trump wants to have Congress pass.
Most of these folks that voted for Trump last November did so out of spite for Hillary Clinton and her supposed "liberal" agenda. She is a corporate Democrat and always has been, so for them to believe the assumption she is a bleeding heart lib is beyond belief.
Trump had no business being elected, but he did a great con job on these folks and they still don't realize that fact.
There are NO alternative facts, only facts in the raw.
Truth doesn't change.
Truth is forever.  It cannot be altered, no matter what Trump or his minions say.
The American people deserve better than this joke of an administration in Washington, D.C. How do you explain the fact the Republican controlled Congress wants to steal away health care coverage from millions of people across the land, just to give the richest of the rich another tax break?
Doesn't make much sense to this American citizen.
They also want to get rid of Social  Security (which we pay for) as we know it and privatize it so their criminal friends on Wall Street can pilfer the funds.
Look at what Ronald Reagan, the patron saint of the republican party said about it.
Go ahead . . . it's right there in the upper right hand corner of this post.
People keep saying we need to "Make America Great Again" like it was back in the day (1950's to the mid 1970's) when the "greatest generation in American history" was in control of things.
Alright then, if that's the case, then republicans and their supporters need to look at how they were back then as well.

Take a good look at what they were promoting back in the day.

You really think Paul Ryan (Speaker of the House), Mitch McConnell (Senate majority leader), Darrell Issa, John McCain, etc. would back that agenda today?
Of course not.
If they did, their corporate masters (Koch brothers, Sheldon Edelson and many others) would have their heads on a platter. The same can be said for the Republican governors and GOP controlled state legislatures across the country.
Because of the insanity of the "Citizens United" decision back in 2010 by the U.S. Supreme Court, money talks and the richest folks can do whatever the fuck they want to these days.
The rest of us in this country can just get lost because we do not matter anymore to these corporate puppets that call themselves "elected" representatives.

Whatever happened to common sense in the United States of America?
Today's politicians, especially the republicans, do not have it. Hell, they won't even hold town hall meetings with their constituents back in their state districts because they cannot handle the truth.
They are cowards and will not meet with the people that sent them to D.C. to represent we the people. No, instead they represent the corporate interests that simply screw you and me and every other red blooded American that goes out everyday and works for a better life.
Go figure . . . because I don't understand it how people can continue to elect these people back for term after term.
Misery loves company I suppose. If that is the fact, then count me out.
I remember how things were when I was growing up in the late 1960's and the early to mid 1970's before it all changed with the Nixon administration.
Trump and his people echo that same Nixonian style and they will have the same fate "tricky Dick" endured if they continue to push the limits.
Or will they?
The media is different today than it was back then, so as a result they don't do the job with the integrity they did back then.
Too much corporate money and influence there as well.
People need to be informed with the truth about what is happening in our country. It always comes back to the truth, which is the backbone of common sense.
One thing for sure, Trump and his cronies have no truth in them and therefore they have no common sense. They don't relate to you and me and millions of other hard working Americans.
Don't expect it to change either because it never will.
Common sense is a thing of the past in this country it seems.
We have the evidence of that in the White House.
