NFL - Patriots, Texans Clinch Another Division Title, Rams Eliminated From Playoff Chase

There were three games played on Saturday in Week Sixteen as the NFL nears the end of the season.
The New England Patriots beat the visiting Buffalo Bills, 24-17 to clinch their 11th consecutive AFC East division title. The Patriots (12-3) can clinch at least a first round bye in the AFC playoffs with a win over Miami next week. The Bills (10-5) are assured of a wild card spot.
Pats quarterback Tom Brady (pictured left) had a touchdown pass and threw for 271 yards and running back Rex Burkhead rushed for another score while kicker Nick Folk made three field goals to pace the offensive attack as New England gained 414 total yards. Bills QB Josh Allen had two TD passes in the loss.
The San Francisco 49ers (12-3) beat the Los Angeles Rams, 34-31 on Saturday night as kicker Robbie Gould made a 33-yard field goal as time ran out to eliminate the Rams (8-7), who made the Super Bowl last season, from playoff contention.
Four different players scored touchdowns for San Francisco, including Fred Warner, who had a 46-yard INT return for touchdown. Deebo Samuel and Raheem Mostert scored rushing touchdowns and QB Jimmy Garoppolo connected with tight end George Kittle on a seven-yard TD pass.
Rams QB Jared Goff passed for 323 yards and a pair of touchdowns while RB Todd Gurley ran for two scores, but it wasn't enough to prevent the defeat and the Rams will be out of the playoffs for the first time in three years.
The Houston Texans (10-5) clinched their fourth AFC South division title in the last five seasons with a 23-20 nail biting win against the host Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-8), snapping the Bucs four-game win streak.
The Texans defense forced five turnovers, including four interceptions by Tampa Bay QB Jameis Winston, which included a "pick-six" on the first pass attempt in the game by Winston. Houston defensive back Bradley Roby took the interception back 27 yards for a score as the Texans built a 17-3 first half lead.
The Bucs rallied to tie the game 17-17 at halftime, but in the second half, Houston kicker Kai Faribairn made two more field goals (three total for the game), including the deciding 37-yard boot with 7:11 left to play.
