Chicago's Mayor Daley not running for re-election: Good Riddance!

See Ya!
Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!
Chicago's Mayor Richard M. Daley is not going to seek a seventh term as Mayor of Chicago.
The writing is on the wall and he knows it, which is precisely why he is not going to run for re-election in 2011.
The people of Chicago are fed up with the Daley Administration and the George W. Bush-like privatization tactics he has been implementing in the Windy City over the years.
Privatizing things such as parking meters and airports (which failed by the way at Chicago's Midway Airport) does not work.
The people of Chicago have become disenchanted with Daley and he knows it.
In particular, the workers' unions (organized labor) in the city of Chicago have not been real happy with him in recent history either.
Daley has been pretty much anti-union in his rhetoric and the way he wants to privatize everything and then make the workers give and give and give and then give some more.
Mayor Daley, good riddance to you.
Thank you for "retiring" and don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out of City Hall!
