NFL - Week Six Preview

Already one-third of the season is in the books for most teams around the NFL in 2011 and this weekend's games feature some big match ups.
The Dallas Cowboys travel to play the New England Patriots while the Philadelphia Eagles, grounded with four consecutive losses, travel to Washington, D.C. to take on the surprising, first-place Redskins.
How about the Baltimore Ravens playing host to the Houston Texans? Meanwhile, the New York Giants, smarting from their disappointing performance (at  home) last week against Seattle, take on the visiting Buffalo Bills,  the AFC's biggest surprise in 2011.
Here is a capsule style breakdown of the action for Week Six, with the Heftyinfo predictions for all the games to follow.

Carolina (1-4) at Atlanta (2-3) - What's up with the Falcons? QB Matt Ryan hasn't looked at all like the top notch passer from last year while Carolina's rookie QB Cam Newton is well on his way to capturing the NFL Rookie of the Year Award.

Jacksonville (1-4) at Pittsburgh (3-2) - The Steelers rebounded nicely last week vs. Tennessee while Jacksonville coughed one up against Cincinnati. Steelers roll!

Philadelphia (1-4) at Washington (3-1) - The Redskins have been on fire in the early part of 2011 while the Eagles have crashed and burned so far. This should be a good game.

St. Louis (0-4) at Green Bay (5-0) - Unbeaten team at home against winless team is a no brainer, right? Not necessarily, but take the Packers in what might be a closer game than most "experts" may be expecting.

San Francisco (4-1) at Detroit (5-0) - Someone's bubble is gonna get burst in this early season tilt.

Indianapolis (0-5) at Cincinnati (3-2) - The Bengals have been a surprise indeed while the Colts continue to flounder without Peyton Manning.

Buffalo (4-1) at NY Giants (3-2) - Can the Bills keep it up? Can the Giants get some consistency? Stay tuned.

Cleveland (2-2) at Oakland (3-2) - The Raiders win another one for Al, this time at home.

Houston (3-2) at Baltimore (3-1) - Houston has no Andre Johnson once again this week. The Ravens playing over their heads? Perhaps, but the ageless wonders continue to shine on defense so far in 2011.  Take the Ravens in a rout.

Dallas (2-2) at New England (4-1) - The Patriots have won 29 consecutive regular season home games with Tom Brady at quarterback, so don't count on the Cowboys stopping that streak.

New Orleans (4-1) at Tampa Bay (3-2) - The Saints are quietly winning games and now face the Bucs in a key NFC South match up. The Bucs were smacked silly last week in San Francisco. This one should come down to the wire.

Minnesota (1-4) at Chicago (2-3) - The stinker game of the week as far as national TV broadcast games are concerned. Who scheduled this one for prime time Sunday night? Oops!

Miami (0-4) at NY Jets (2-3) - The Jets have lost three in a row while the Dolphins haven't won a game yet in 2011... something has to give.
