With two-thirds of horse racing's triple crown now won, I'll Have Another will be chasing history at the Belmont Stakes (having won the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness Stakes) as he tries to become the first triple crown winner since Affirmed in 1978. Seattle Slew also accomplished the feat in 1977.
However, when Secretariat won the triple crown of horse racing in 1973, he did it in dramatic fashion by winning the Belmont Stakes by a record 31 lengths.
