Memorable Opening Sunday For NFL

With the Ten-Year Anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 being honored and commemorated throughout the NFL this Sunday, the league kicked off games in 13 different cities as the 2011 season got underway.
The biggest surprise of the day may well have been the Buffalo Bills going into Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City and just destroying the Chiefs, 41-7 behind four touchdown passes from quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
There were some other "surprises" on this opening weekend around the league, but as always... Heftyinfo will have the NFL Week in Review on Monday's and Tuesday's this season.
Here is just a teaser of the action that took place today as the Chicago Bears overwhelmed "Matty Ice" (Matt Ryan) and the Atlanta Falcons in Soldier Field, 30-12 behind stellar defense that included a touchdown by Bears' linebacker Brian Urlacher off a fumble recovery.
The Washington Redskins stunned the visiting New York Giants, 28-14 and made quarterback Rex Grossman look like a prophet as he predicted it will be the 'Skins winning the NFC East.
Monday night action will have a double header once again this year with the New England Patriots playing the Dolphins in Miami followed by the Denver Broncos hosting their arch rival, the Oakland Raiders.
