Walter Payton, also known as "Sweetness" throughout his NFL career, was a running back for the Chicago Bears from 1975-1987 and is a Hall-of-Famer enshrined in Canton, Ohio. He died in 1999 from a liver disease and is still considered by many around pro football as the best ever when he played the game.
